Funny Ski Mask Guide: 3D Animal, Old Man and Game Day Balaclavas

One grumpy grandpa, one cat with its tongue out. The chairlift ride just got a lot more interesting.

A funny ski mask is a full head, face and neck balaclava printed with something ridiculous: a realistic grandpa face, a 3D husky or tabby cat, or a bold game day design. It keeps the cold off on the lift and gets a laugh in every photo. Ours start from $36, made to order, with no minimum.

A plain black balaclava does the job. It also makes every group photo look like the crew is about to rob a bank. A funny ski mask does the same job, covering your head, face and neck under goggles and a helmet, and turns the whole group into a husky, a polar bear and somebody's grumpy grandpa.

It is not only a ski thing, either. People pull a ski mask on for icy commutes, cold stadiums, Halloween parties and gift swaps every year. Below: our four ski mask styles, which one suits which plan, sizes and pack options, how to wear one with goggles and a helmet, and the questions we get most.

What Makes a Funny Ski Mask Worth Wearing?

A good funny ski mask does two jobs: it covers your head, face and neck like any balaclava, and the printed face does the comedy. If it fails the first job, it ends up in a drawer.

Every Kozmoz ski mask uses the same full face balaclava construction: extended coverage over the head, face and neck, made to pair with ski goggles, a helmet and a winter jacket. Only the artwork changes from design to design, so whichever face you pick, the coverage stays the same.

The joke is all print. On the old man designs, the beard, wrinkles, teeth and facial hair are printed artwork, not loose fake fur that flaps in the wind. On the animal designs, a realistic printed face comes with an integrated ear shape and an eye opening, so you get a 3D animal look with the practical shape of a face ski mask.

That is why a funny ski mask brings more than one laugh: it is cold-weather gear you actually wear.

3D Animal Ski Masks: Husky, Polar Bear, Snow Leopard, Tiger or Tabby

Pick the animal that matches your personality: an adventurous Husky, a cute Polar Bear, a cool Snow Leopard, a fierce White Tiger or a playful Orange Tabby Cat. Each one has its own fur pattern and facial details on the same comfortable balaclava.

The Husky comes in classic black, gray and white. The Polar Bear is clean white with a cute winter vibe. The Snow Leopard has white and gray spots, the White Tiger has bold dark stripes, and the Orange Tabby Cat is orange and white with plenty of attitude.

The 3D animal ski mask doubles as one of the best funny ski costumes for theme days on the mountain, and it keeps working off the slopes: Halloween costumes, cosplay, themed parties and winter photos. A family of five can each pick a different animal and still look like one team.

For animal lovers, match the mask to the family husky or the orange cat who runs the house.

The Old Man Ski Mask: A Realistic Grandpa Face for Big Laughs

The grandpa ski mask turns anyone into a weathered old skier, with a realistic printed face, wrinkles, beard and mustache. It is the design most likely to stop strangers in the lift line.

There are three old men to choose from. The Instructor is the classic grumpy grandpa with a dramatic white mustache and beard. Old Man Winter is rugged and weathered, with a printed cigarette-style detail. Two Teeth Tony has a big goofy smile, a messy beard and a gloriously gappy grin.

As a ski trip gag gift, the funny grandpa ski mask is hard to beat. It suits skiers, snowboarders, dads, grandpas, husbands, boyfriends, friends and coworkers: anyone who loves ridiculous winter gear. One guy in it makes a funny group photo. A whole bachelor trip in it makes a legend.

One honest note: the goggles, jacket and other accessories in the product photos are not included. You get the mask. Tuck a pair of cozy socks in the box and the gift is complete.

Game Day Ski Masks for Cold Stadiums and Tailgates

For sports fans, the game day ski mask is the pick: bold sports-inspired graphics in strong colour combinations, with full head, face and neck coverage for a freezing stand or a parking lot tailgate.

Late-season games are cold for hours, not minutes. A full face balaclava under a hood keeps the wind off your cheeks and neck, and makes your section easy to spot on the big screen.

Each game day ski mask design has its own colour combination, athletic-inspired details and striking character artwork. Pick the colours your crowd already wears. It carries over to the slopes, winter festivals and group outfits, and it is a fun gift for the fan who already owns every scarf.

Which Funny Ski Mask Fits Your Plans?

Match the face to the occasion: animals for family trips and costume days, the old man for gag gifts and group photos, game day designs for fans, and horror-style designs for October.

Style The look Best for
3D animal Husky, Polar Bear, Snow Leopard, White Tiger or Orange Tabby Cat, with printed fur and an ear shape Family ski trips, costume days, animal lovers, winter photos
Old man The Instructor, Old Man Winter or Two Teeth Tony, with printed wrinkles, beard and mustache Gag gifts, bachelor trips, group photos, dads and grandpas
Game day Sports-inspired graphics in bold colour combinations Tailgates, cold stadiums, sports fans, ski mask skiing days
Horror-style Vintage slasher-style Halloween graphics Halloween parties, costume events, horror fans

Not sure? The old man is the safest laugh. The animals are the safest gift for anyone who would rather look cute than grumpy.

Buying for a group? Mix styles. A chairlift with a tiger, a grandpa and a game day fan on it is a better photo than four of the same. You can browse every design together in our ski mask collection.

Beyond the Slopes: Commutes, Parties and Halloween

A ski mask is not only a ski mask for skiing. The same full coverage works for icy commutes, winter hikes, festivals, costume parties and Halloween, so a funny one earns its place well beyond ski week.

On a windy walk to work, head, face and neck coverage does what a scarf never quite manages. The Polar Bear or Snow Leopard keeps things calm for the morning train. The grandpa face makes the whole carriage look twice. Your call.

Every October, the horror-style ski masks come out: bold Halloween graphics and creepy character styles on the same comfortable balaclava. They are made for horror-themed parties, costume events and Halloween photoshoots, and they keep going on cold-weather trips once the candy is gone.

For winter festivals and group outings, put a ski mask on every head in the crew and you will never lose each other in a crowd again.

Sizes, Pack Options and Price

Every design comes in two sizes, Regular Size or Custom Larger Size, and four quantities: 1 mask, or packs of 4, 6 or 10 masks. Prices start from $36 for one regular-size mask and rise with the size and pack you choose.

Option Choices Pick it when
Size Regular Size Most adults, worn on its own or under a helmet
Size Custom Larger Size A larger head or lots of hair to tuck in
Pack 1 Mask A single gift or your own gear
Pack Pack 4, 6 or 10 Masks Ski trip crews, bachelor parties, family photos

The product photos include a size chart for the regular size, so compare it with a beanie that already fits you well. The price on the product page updates as you choose, and the top of the range is a 10-pack in the larger size. Want a different design for each person? Add each design to the cart on its own, or ask our team before you order.

Every mask is printed for your order, with no minimum: one is fine. Most orders arrive in about 7 to 15 business days and we ship worldwide. October to December runs a few days longer, so order early for ski week and Christmas.

Because each mask is made to order, we cannot take returns for a wrong size choice, so check the chart first. Defects and shipping damage are covered (see the FAQ below), and you can cancel within 12 hours of ordering.

How to Wear a Ski Mask With Goggles and a Helmet in 4 Steps

Mask first, then goggles, then helmet, then tuck the neck into your jacket. In that order, nothing gaps and the printed face sits where it should.

Step 1: Pull the mask on and line up the face

Pull the balaclava over your head and line up the eye area first, so the printed face sits straight and the neck section falls evenly.

Step 2: Add your goggles over the mask

Seat your ski goggles over the eye area with the strap running over the mask. Goggles are not included, so use your own pair.

Step 3: Put your helmet on last

Put the helmet on over the mask and goggles and adjust it until it fits snugly. The mask is a face cover, so the helmet still does the safety job.

Step 4: Tuck the neck into your jacket

Tuck the extended neck section into your jacket collar and zip up, so the wind cannot sneak in at your throat on the lift.

Funny Ski Mask FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we hear most about fit, warmth, goggles, helmets and delivery.

What is a funny ski mask?

It is a full head, face and neck balaclava printed with a comic design, such as a realistic old man face or a 3D animal face. It covers like a normal ski mask and gets a laugh at the same time.

Which styles can I choose from?

Four styles: 3D animals (Husky, Polar Bear, Snow Leopard, White Tiger, Orange Tabby Cat), old man faces (The Instructor, Old Man Winter, Two Teeth Tony), sports-inspired game day designs and horror-style Halloween designs.

Can I wear ski goggles with it?

Yes. Every design is made to pair with ski goggles. Put the mask on first, then seat the goggles over the eye area with the strap over the mask.

Can I wear it under a ski helmet?

Yes. The balaclava is designed to pair with helmets, so wear the mask first and put the helmet on last, adjusting it until it fits snugly.

Will it keep my face warm?

It covers your head, face and neck and is made to be comfortable for cold-weather wear. On the coldest days, tuck the neck into your jacket and add a helmet or hood on top.

Will it fit my head?

Regular Size suits most adults. If you have a larger head or a lot of hair to tuck in, choose Custom Larger Size, and check the size chart in the product photos before ordering.

Is a funny ski mask protective ski or safety equipment?

No. It is a novelty face cover for cold weather, not protective equipment. Always wear a proper helmet on the slopes.

What is included in my order?

The mask, or the number of masks in the pack you choose: 1, 4, 6 or 10. Goggles, jackets and other accessories shown in product photos are not included.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders arrive in about 7 to 15 business days in total: 2 to 5 for production and 5 to 10 for shipping. October to December can take a few days longer, so order early for ski trips and Christmas.

Can I return a ski mask if it does not fit?

Because every mask is made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind or a wrong size choice. Defects, misprints, a wrong item or size, or shipping damage are replaced or refunded if reported within 14 days of delivery with photos.
