DnD Gifts for Players and Dungeon Masters: Pajamas and Sweaters

Gift Guide • DnD Gifts • 9 min read
Three friends at a kitchen table game night wearing burgundy, charcoal and parchment D20 dice satin pajama sets, rolling dice over character sheets
Three prints, one party, and nobody has to argue about whose dice are whose.

The best DnD gifts are things your player or Dungeon Master will wear at the table and would never buy for themselves. Ours: personalized D20 dice satin pajamas with a name on the pocket, from $35.20 in S to 5XL, and a knit Dungeon Master ugly Christmas sweater from $35.57.

Shopping for DnD gifts is tricky. Your player probably owns more dice than socks, a shelf of core rulebooks and a well-worn DM screen. Another dice set is a gamble. Something they wear on game night, with their character's name on the pocket, is not.

Below: dnd gift ideas for players and Dungeon Masters, the four pieces of DnD merch we make, which print suits which class, sizing and Christmas timing. Every product detail comes from our own listings.

What Makes a Good DnD Gift?

A good DnD gift fits how they play and feels personal enough that they could not have bought it themselves. Start with two questions: are they a DM or a player, and do they play online or in person?

Dungeon Masters do the most prep and get the fewest thank-yous. They usually own the gear already: the dungeon master screen, campaign setting books, a box of minis. A gift that celebrates the job lands better than more equipment.

Players are easier, and most Dungeons and Dragons gift ideas start with them. Most have a favourite class and a character they will happily describe for twenty minutes. A print that matches that class, or their character's name on a pocket, is a personalized gift that keeps coming back to the table.

DnD Gifts Compared: Satin Pajamas, Knit Sweater or Printed Sweatshirt

Satin pajamas for campaign weekends, the knit sweater for the holiday session, the printed sweatshirt as a lighter layer. All four come in S to 5XL; only the pajamas take a name.

Gift What it is Name? From Best for
D20 dice satin pajamas Button-front satin set in burgundy spellbook, charcoal raven or parchment dragon Yes, up to 12 characters $35.20 DMs, dice lovers, Christmas morning
Roll for Initiative satin pajamas Same cut, three prints with red dragons, d20 dice, potions and tavern-board slogans Yes, up to 12 characters $35.20 Players, matching party sets
Dungeon Master Mode knit sweater Black and red pixel-art knit with a front and back design No $35.57 The DM's holiday session, ugly sweater parties
Dungeon Master D20 sweatshirt Lightweight all-over print in 100% polyester No $35.57 A Christmas layer over a T-shirt

Satin is smooth and light for lounging, the knit is the classic ugly Christmas sweater feel, and the printed sweatshirt is the lightest layer. One honest note: satin is a weave, not silk.

Personalized DnD Satin Pajamas: Which Print for Which Player

Both satin pajama sets come in three prints, take a name of up to 12 characters, and start from $35.20. Choose the D20 dice set for a Dungeon Master or a dice lover, and the Roll for Initiative set when you want one print per class across the party.

The D20 dice DnD satin pajamas mix spellbook formulas, ravens, candles and dragon crests. Burgundy suits the wizard who reads the rules for fun, charcoal suits the rogue in the darkest corner of the tavern, and parchment suits the map-drawing player.

The Roll for Initiative satin pajamas are covered in red dragons, d20 dice, potions and tavern-board slogans, with one print for the fighter, one for the wizard and one for the bard. Ideal when the party wants to match without wearing the same thing.

Both share a button-front cut with a notch collar and contrast piping, as a short-sleeve shirt with shorts or a long-sleeve shirt with pants. The name prints on the chest, on the pocket for long-sleeve sets. More bookish styles are in our satin pajamas collection.

Dungeon Master Gifts: A DnD Christmas Sweater for the Holiday Session

For the DM, our knit Dungeon Master Mode sweater is the obvious pick: a black and red pixel-art scene of a hooded Dungeon Master looming over the table under a Boss Fight Loading banner. It starts from $35.57 in adult sizes S to 5XL.

The Dungeon Master Mode knit ugly Christmas sweater puts a red dragon and a glowing D20 above a party of miniature adventurers on the front. The back has a dragon coiled around a giant D20 with a DM screen, scrolls, minis and dice, and the sleeves carry potions, shields, dragons and crossed swords. Unisex crew neck, ribbed cuffs and hem: the dnd christmas sweater, and a gift for anyone who brings their own dice to Christmas.

Prefer something lighter? The Dungeon Master D20 dice sweatshirt is an all-over printed layer in 100% polyester with a soft feel, crew neck and relaxed unisex fit. Each panel is printed, cut and sewn individually.

Hosting an ugly sweater night? Our ugly sweaters collection has more holiday knits for the rest of the party.

What to Get a DM Who Has Everything

Get them clothing with their table role or name on it. A DM with every core rulebook, a stack of spellbook cards and three sets of metal dice probably does not have DnD pajamas with DM on the pocket.

The obvious dnd presents are already on their shelf. Clothing needs no table space, fits any campaign and does not care which edition they play.

Try the long-sleeve D20 set with DM or the name of their world on the pocket, the knit sweater for the December session, and a card with an in-joke from your group. A great gift idea for a birthday, a campaign anniversary or the session after a brutal boss fight.

DnD Gifts for Players: Matching Pajamas for the Whole Party

Order one set per player in each person's size, with a print per class or one shared print with different names. No minimum: one set or six for a full party works in one order.

Matching sets are among the best dnd gifts for groups because they turn a campaign weekend into an event. Give each player the Roll for Initiative print for their class, or everyone the same D20 print with their character name on the pocket.

For a group present to the DM, chip in for a gift set: pajamas in their size plus the knit sweater, the perfect gift for a DM who just wrapped up a long story arc. Playing online? Name pockets read well on camera, and we ship worldwide.

How to Order Personalized DnD Pajamas in 5 Steps

Pick the print, choose short or long sleeve, check the size chart, add the name, and order early.

Step 1: Pick the print

Compare the three designs in the Choose Your Design photo, then select Design 1, 2 or 3.

Step 2: Choose short or long sleeve

Shorts and short sleeves for warm rooms, long sleeves and pants for winter game nights.

Step 3: Check the size chart

Sizes run S to 5XL. Check the size chart on the product page before you choose.

Step 4: Add a name or leave it blank

Type up to 12 characters in the Custom Name box: a first name, a character name or simply DM. Leave it blank for no name.

Step 5: Order early

Most orders arrive in about 7 to 15 business days, and October to December can take a few days longer.

Sizing a DnD Gift When You Cannot Ask

Measure a top they already wear and compare it with the size chart on the product page. No measurement? Order their usual size, and size up on a sweater only if they like it roomy.

The easy trick: lay a top they love flat, measure across the chest from armpit to armpit, and match that number to the chart. For the D20 sweatshirt, allow about 1 to 2 cm of difference, because pieces are measured by hand.

The sweaters are unisex, so check the chart rather than guessing from women's sizes. Between sizes? Message our team before you order, because made-to-order pieces cannot be returned for a wrong size choice.

When to Order DnD Christmas Gifts

Order DnD Christmas gifts by early December at the latest. Most orders arrive in about 7 to 15 business days (2 to 5 for production, 5 to 10 for shipping), a few days longer from October to December.

If the holiday session is this weekend, it is already too late for made-to-order, so plan the gift around the new year one-shot instead. Picked the wrong print? Cancel within 12 hours. Misprints, defects or shipping damage reported within 14 days of delivery with photos are replaced or refunded.

DnD Gifts FAQ

What are the best Dungeons and Dragons gifts?

The best Dungeons and Dragons gifts are personal things they would not buy themselves. Our picks are the personalized D20 dice and Roll for Initiative satin pajamas from $35.20 and the knit Dungeon Master Mode sweater from $35.57.

What do you get a Dungeon Master who has everything?

Get them something with their table role or name on it. A DM who owns every rulebook rarely owns DnD pajamas with DM printed on the pocket, or a knit Christmas sweater made for the holiday session.

Are DnD pajamas a good gift for players?

Yes. They get worn on campaign weekends, sleepovers and Christmas morning, and each set comes in three prints, so you can match a print to their class and add their character's name.

Can I add a name to the DnD pajamas?

Yes. Type up to 12 characters in the Custom Name box and we print it on the chest, on the pocket for long-sleeve sets. Leave the box blank if you want no name.

What sizes do the DnD pajamas and sweaters come in?

All four pieces come in S to 5XL. The pajamas come as a short-sleeve shirt with shorts or a long-sleeve shirt with pants, and the sweaters are unisex adult sizes. Check the size chart on each product page.

Is the Dungeon Master sweater knit or printed?

The Dungeon Master Mode sweater is a knit with a front and back design and ribbed cuffs and hem. The Dungeon Master D20 sweatshirt is a lightweight, all-over printed piece in 100% polyester.

How long do DnD gifts take to arrive?

Most orders arrive in about 7 to 15 business days in total: 2 to 5 for production and 5 to 10 for shipping. October to December can take a few days longer, so order early for Christmas.

Can I return a DnD gift if the size is wrong?

Because every piece is made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind or a wrong size choice. Defects, misprints, a wrong item or size shipped, or shipping damage are replaced or refunded if reported within 14 days of delivery with photos.

How do you wash satin DnD pajamas?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out. Hang to dry or tumble dry low, and use low heat if you need to iron.
